Whether you
are a seasoned manager or just starting a new career you know things are different now. In today's world economy, companies
must learn to be fast, focused, flexible, friendly and fun places to work. Motivated employees are key to a company's
success. The CRISP system makes continual improvement simple and fun.
CRISP -
Continual Renewal
and Improvement of System/Safety
Performance.
In 2011 Gallop published a report that revealed 71% of American workers are actually dis-engaged from their
jobs. And it’s been known for years that unnecessary work, including rework accounts for 40% of what people do on their
jobs. This combination results in a culture in which quality programs such as TQM, Six Sigma, ISO 9000, Lean and others
fail to deliver their promised results.
No
company can afford to have even one employee who doesn’t believe their effort matters. But with all the change
programs in the last twenty years it's easy to see why people come to view any new program as a “flavor of the month.”
The CRISP workshop was created to counter any apathy or disengagement of people in the workforce. It is based on the
premise people need and desire to have pride and joy at work. They want to contribute.
Many companies and managers don’t believe in using any outside help since
their staff is expected to have the knowledge and experience to run the business. Of course you would expect managers to be
knowledgeable about things like reading a financial statement, OEE, Production Set Up, etc. But when it comes to managing,
having in-depth knowledge about machinery, equipment, production scheduling, maintenance, supply chain, financials, etc. isn’t
enough. All work is a system and like most systems it is often too complex for just one person to understand and control.
Business has learned it cannot waste human talent. Mangers do so when they when they do not use the brains, time and energy
of all the people involved in a work process to control and improve it.
Most managers talk about empowering and engaging people but few every get around to doing it. To close this
knowing – doing gap Mocal, Inc. developed the CRISP™ workshop to help people truly contribute. Ultimately the
ability of people to think and work together effectively determines the success of any organization.
CRISP bridges the gap between knowing and doing continual improvement.
Our clients have recognized CRISP as a way to reenergize people so they will again have pride and joy in work. CRISP is not
another flavor of the month. We would enjoy meeting with you so we could have a dialogue about CRISP and how it will help
your people run things better than they were before. That’s what continual improvement is really about.
